The rumors accused Veeke of allegedly stealing her husband, Femi Atere, from a friend. The designer admitted that these baseless accusations deeply affected her mental health, forcing her to lean on faith for strength.
“There was one incident that really shook me. We had to ask God to help us navigate it, and when we finally did, it felt like the end of a storm,” she shared.
Recalling the worst moments, Veeke said:
“People were saying I stole him from a friend and that we were sleeping together… so many lies. It almost pushed me into depression. I remember going into my room and staying there for two days, crying and praying. I told God that if these stories were false, He should help us get through it without damaging my brand. The way He brought me out felt like a miracle. Eventually, I could even laugh at the stories.”
