Ogun State Government seals industries for environmental violations

The Ogun State Government has sealed six industries for violating environmental laws, according to the Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA).

The affected companies include Winwin Electrical Limited, Isichei Farms Limited, and Chafengei Nigeria Limited, all located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Others are Fortune Height Farms Limited (Odogbolu), Loly B & DA Ventures Limited (Ijebu-Ode), and Adventus Nigeria Limited (Lagos-Ibadan Expressway).

Farouk Akintunde, Special Adviser to the Governor on OGEPA, stated that Winwin Electrical, Isichei Farms, and Chafengei Nigeria were shut down for air pollution. Meanwhile, Fortune Height Farms was resealed after breaking an earlier government seal and resuming operations without proper effluent treatment.
