Suspended Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has vehemently denied claims by US-based activist Sandra Duru regarding her sexual harassment allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The controversy escalated when Duru conducted a 1-hour Facebook Live on May 1, presenting what she claimed were phone logs and WhatsApp chats showing Akpoti allegedly plotting to frame Akpabio for sexual harassment and organ harvesting.
However, Akpoti fired back, calling Duru's evidence "manipulated and false". In a strongly-worded statement, she accused Duru of being a "fake profile operator" who previously masqueraded as "Prof. Mgbeke" on Facebook.

"I never made those disparaging remarks about Dr. Oby Ezekwesili or other Nigerians," Akpoti stated. "This is clearly Akpabio's script being acted out."
The drama began when Akpoti accused Akpabio of making sexual advances toward her in her husband's presence - claims that led to her 6-month suspension from the Senate for failing to provide evidence.

Political analysts suggest this scandal could have far-reaching implications for Nigeria's 10th Senate as both sides dig in their heels.
