The Lagos APC has reaffirmed its dominance in local politics after successfully conducting peaceful primaries for four Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).
At the party secretariat in Ikeja, four consensus candidates were affirmed unopposed: Isa Jubril (Iba LCDA), Motunrayo Gbadebo (Ijede LCDA), Rasaq Kasali (Lekki LCDA), and Azeez Kareem (Oto-Awori LCDA).
Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat urged unity, declaring, “In Lagos, APC still stands; PDP’s umbrella is torn!” He emphasized that national leaders were monitoring the exercise closely.
The Lagos APC Electoral Committee, led by Babatunde Ogala, ensured smooth proceedings, with delegates voting under LASIEC supervision. Aspirants were allowed to withdraw before voting commenced.
This seamless process highlights the APC’s organizational strength ahead of the upcoming local elections, reinforcing its grip on Lagos politics. NAN
