Episode 1:  The Wedding Day Twist

Camila stared at her reflection, her makeup artist working with precision.

This wedding wasn’t out of love—it was a sacrifice. She had no choice if she wanted to save her family’s business and help her ailing father.

The name Perez Innovation Design needed rescuing, and the price was a marriage to Alejandro Ruiz, the boy she had humiliated years ago.

As a child, Alejandro had been infatuated with her. Camila, the beautiful, popular girl, crushed his heart publicly, leaving him with nothing but bitter memories.

She couldn’t forget the day she rejected his Valentine's invitation, cruelly mocking him.

Back then, Alejandro was shy, awkward, and struggling. But now, he had returned, a self-made billionaire, and she hadn’t seen him in years.

Who is he now? she wondered, barely finding any personal details about him.

Alejandro’s meteoric rise in the real estate world was no secret—Ruiz Royal Estate was a global giant. Yet, he remained a mystery, keeping a low profile.

Camila had tried to stalk his social media a few times but found nothing about his life or appearance, only his success.

Suddenly, she felt a pang of nerves. What if he was still angry? After all, she had hurt him deeply.

But he had agreed to this marriage, and it wasn’t out of love. He was doing it as a ‘favor’ to her family, a business deal more than anything else.

“Ma’am, your dress is here,” her stylist announced, bringing in the exquisite white gown.

Camila stood tall as she was helped into it, trying to ignore the swirling thoughts in her head.

📍At The Church:

As Camila stepped down the aisle, she felt a strange emptiness. Alejandro wasn’t there.

His family was seated, his best men were in place, but the groom was nowhere to be seen.

Panic clawed at her. What if he’s changed his mind? She felt the weight of her past actions bearing down on her.

“Have you called your son?” Camila’s mother asked Daniela, Alejandro’s mother.

“I’ve tried,” Daniela sighed, “but Alejandro will be here. He’s a man of his word.”

Just then, the church doors swung open, and a tall figure strode in, his footsteps echoing through the silent room.

Alejandro had arrived—late—and not in a tuxedo, but in a business suit.

He was unrecognizable from the boy she once knew. No longer overweight or insecure, he stood before her, sharp, confident, and indifferent.

“I apologize for the delay,” Alejandro said nonchalantly, heading to the altar. “Business called.”

Camila’s heart skipped a beat. Gone was the boy who had adored her.

This Alejandro was a man who commanded attention, whose cold eyes told her this marriage was nothing more than a transaction to him.

Reader Engagement Element:
Comment Below: Is Alejandro still holding a grudge, or is this just a business deal for him? What do you think will happen next?

👥 "Can you believe it? He’s late to his own wedding!"
👥 "And in a suit? Who does that on their wedding day?"

Whispers filled the room as guests speculated about his audacity.

Alejandro, however, remained unaffected by the stares, ready to get through the ceremony without a hint of remorse.

“Shall we begin?” the priest asked, sensing the tension but determined to move forward.

As the ceremony commenced, Camila couldn’t help but wonder—was this wedding her redemption, or had Alejandro planned it all to exact the perfect revenge?

What do you think Alejandro’s true motives are? Revenge or redemption?
