Journalist PIDOM Arraigned in Court for Cybercrime and Money Laundering Allegations

Journalist Isaac Bristol, popularly known as PIDOM, has been arraigned by the Nigeria Police on charges related to cybercrime, money laundering, and the unlawful possession and dissemination of classified documents.

Appearing before Justice Emeka Nwite at the Federal High Court in Abuja, PIDOM pleaded not guilty to all nine charges against him.

The court session, held on Tuesday, concluded with Justice Nwite setting the next hearing for September 23, 2024, to rule on PIDOM’s bail application. 

In the meantime, PIDOM has been remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre. His arrest on August 5, 2024, in Rivers State, followed an investigation into serious allegations, including undermining government operations and leaking sensitive documents.
