Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is set to join Galatasaray on a loan deal after both parties agreed on terms. The Nigerian forward, who was looking to leave Napoli following a failed transfer to Chelsea, has found a new opportunity in Turkey as the transfer window closes on September 13.

According to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport and Nigerian sources, including Buchi Laba and Sulaiman Adebayo (Pooja), the move is progressing quickly. Sky Sport Italia and RMC Sport confirmed that Napoli has agreed to a dry loan, meaning there is no option to buy, provided Galatasaray covers Osimhen's full salary of nearly €11 million per season.

Napoli's director of sport, Giovanni Manna, confirmed the talks with Galatasaray, stating that they are close to reaching an agreement. The clubs also agreed that Osimhen's €130 million release clause could be activated by potential suitors starting January 2025.
Osimhen is reportedly eager to join Galatasaray and reunite with his former Napoli teammate Dries Mertens in Istanbul.
While he initially hoped to move to an English Premier League club, his wage demands proved too high for Chelsea.
Osimhen will now play in the Europa League with Galatasaray, facing teams like Tottenham Hotspur and Ajax.
