Arsenal initially took the lead in the 38th minute through a goal by Kai Havertz, assisted by Bukayo Saka.

However, the game took a turn when Rice received his first yellow card in the 42nd minute for a foul on Brighton’s Joël Veltman, followed by a second booking in the 49th minute, leading to his ejection from the game.

Brighton capitalized on the situation, equalizing in the 58th minute with a goal from João Pedro. 

Jenkinson, who watched the game live at the Emirates Stadium, took to Instagram to express his disapproval of the referee's decision, humorously suggesting that the ref should have borrowed someone's glasses to see the play more clearly.
