Jacob Murphy Powers Newcastle to 4-1 Win Against Urawa Red Diamonds

Newcastle United midfielder Jacob Murphy led his team to a 4-1 victory over Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds in a preseason match. 

The Premier League side showcased their readiness for the upcoming season, with England’s Nick Pope making crucial saves against Urawa’s attacks.

Manager Eddie Howe praised his team’s good attitude in fending off Urawa’s challenges at Saitama Stadium. Sweden’s Alexander Isak opened the scoring early, dribbling through defenders and netting the ball. 

Urawa equalized with a goal from Rio Nitta, tapping in a cross from Yusuke Matsuo.

Pope made a standout save, blocking a penalty kick by Atsuki Ito. Newcastle then surged ahead with goals from Joe Willock, Murphy, and Lewis Hall, sealing a 4-1 win.
