De Gea’s Transfer to Genoa Cancelled Over Wage Dispute

David de Gea, former Manchester United goalkeeper, will not be joining Italian Serie A club Genoa due to disagreements over wages. 

De Gea, who has been a free agent for over a year, was set to return to active football with Genoa. 

The 33-year-old had previously played for Manchester United for 12 years before leaving in 2023. 

Despite training alone and receiving interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and the USA, the move to Genoa has fallen through.
