The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) is trending across educational portals, student media hubs, and career forums following the official launch of the NANSInnovate 2026competition and business grant application portal.
Organized by the NANS National Headquarters under the leadership of Comrade Akinteye Babatunde Afeez (BABTEE), the initiative is designed to identify, mentor, and fund promising student entrepreneurs across Nigerian tertiary institutions.
The program addresses the financial hurdles faced by undergraduates running micro-enterprises or developing innovative tech solutions alongside their academic studies.
The competition features a structured selection process where applicants submit business proposals, leading to a week-long entrepreneurship boot camp with mentorship from industry leaders.
The initiative culminates in a national live pitch competition where the top 20 student finalists present their ventures to secure direct, non-dilutive equity grants and venture capital connections.
Applications are open via a free online portal (grants.nanshq.org) for all currently enrolled students across Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education who possess a valid student ID and a clear 10-page business proposal.
