Elders of the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) convened at the Ila Orangun country home of former Governor Chief Bisi Akande to review campaign strategies ahead of the Saturday, August 15 governorship election.
The meeting brought together key leaders, including Senator Iyiola Omisore and Ajibola Famurewa, Director-General of the Omisore Campaign Organisation.
Party leaders evaluated ongoing campaign activities across the state's local government areas and aligned on strategic measures to maximize voter turnout.
Fourteen political parties are cleared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to contest the election.
"We assessed the whole campaign and highlighted where we think we have issues... everyone rubbed minds together, and we arrived at a reasonable conclusion." — Ajibola Famurewa, DG Omisore Campaign Organisation
