First-choice goalkeeper Robert Sanchez faced criticism following errors during Chelsea's 3-2 victory over Fulham, where he conceded at the near post and parried a ball that led to a second goal.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Alonso remained guarded about his final starting lineup, stating that he prefers to inform the players directly before making media announcements.
Alonso also confirmed that key players Moisés Caicedo and Marco Palestra remain unavailable due to training setbacks, though Caicedo could return for the upcoming Premier League fixture against Brighton.
