Ayra Starr’s Family Leads Energetic Lagos Street Campaign for 'Starr Girl' Album

As excitement reaches a fever pitch ahead of the launch of Ayra Starr's third studio album, Starr Girl, the Afrobeats star's family has taken the promotional campaign straight to the streets of Lagos.

The grassroots street marketing initiative was spearheaded by the singer’s mother, Nene Aderibigbe—popularly known as Genzmummy—alongside Ayra Starr’s sister and an enthusiastic entourage of supporters.

In a viral video circulating across social media platforms, the group was seen dressed in coordinated attire topped with vibrant purple headgear as they drove through the busy streets of Lagos.

Holding hand-painted promotional signs out of car windows, the family interacted directly with fans and passersby to generate public awareness for the upcoming project.

The placards displayed a straightforward message confirming the release date: "STARGIRL album out on the 14th of August."

The family's public effort comes as the final countdown begins for the 16-track album, released via Mavin Records and Republic Records.

Supported by hit singles including "Tornado," "Gimme Dat" featuring Wizkid, and "Who's Dat Girl" featuring Rema, Starr Girl follows the singer's critically acclaimed 2024 sophomore release, The Year I Turned 21

The unique street-level campaign highlights the strong family backing behind the global music sensation as fans worldwide await her latest body of work.
