The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), South West Zone D, has announced plans to stage mass demonstrations at South African-linked businesses in Nigeria.
The move follows reports of fresh xenophobic attacks in South Africa that have allegedly resulted in the deaths of two Nigerians.
NANS Coordinator, Comrade Adeyemo Josiah Kayode, issued a statement targeting major corporations such as MTN Group and MultiChoice Group.

The students’ body argued that it is "morally indefensible" for South African businesses to thrive in Nigeria while Nigerians face hostility in South Africa.
The threat comes despite South African President Cyril Ramaphosa’s recent dismissal of xenophobia claims, even as the anti-migrant "March and March" movement continues to target foreigners in Durban.
According to Qubes Magazine, diplomatic tensions are rising between Pretoria and several African nations, including Ghana and Kenya. NANS warned that it would no longer accept "delayed responses" or "symbolic gestures" from authorities.
The association emphasized that while they remain open to dialogue, they are prepared to use economic pressure to ensure the safety and dignity of Nigerians residing abroad.
