A KLM flight attendant has been hospitalized and placed in isolation in Amsterdam following a suspected hantavirus infection.
The staff member reportedly came into contact with an elderly Dutch woman, a passenger from the MV Hondius cruise ship, who tragically collapsed and died at the airport after being deemed too ill to fly.
The elderly passenger was part of a group evacuated from the ship following a deadly hantavirus outbreak that has already claimed three lives, including her 70-year-old husband.
