Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has officially called for a truce in the ongoing public spat with her former protégé, Pelumi Olawuni, popularly known as Abike Shugaa.
In a Snapchat video posted on Monday, April 20, 2026, Abraham appealed to her fanbase, the "Toyin Titans," to stop the vitriol and move past the controversy.
The disagreement went viral last Friday after Abike uploaded a detailed video alleging control, betrayal, and threats during their mentorship—claims Abraham has denied.
Tensions reportedly peaked when Abike accepted a PR package from Abraham’s industry rival, Funke Akindele, for the film "A Tribe Called Judah."
“Please, to everybody, it’s okay. Please forgive her,” Abraham stated. “You said create boundaries, I will create boundaries. You said I should stop helping people, no problem. I have learnt my lesson.”
Abraham also touched on the intense backlash she faced in 2023 and 2024 for her political stances, noting that the period taught her to be more cautious.
She urged her fans to focus on her upcoming YouTube releases and a major project slated for December instead of dwelling on the "distraction."
Meanwhile, Abike disclosed that her tell-all video was recently flagged by YouTube for potential privacy concerns following reports from critics.
