The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially announced the commencement of online registration for its Post-UTME screening for the 2025/2026 academic session. According to a statement released on the university’s official website by the Registrar One and Secretary to Council, Mrs. Abosede Wickliffe, the registration process will begin on Monday, July 28, and end on Tuesday, August 20.

The statement emphasized that only candidates who selected UNILAG as their first choice in the 2025/2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and scored 200 and above are qualified to apply. Additionally, candidates must have five credit passes in one sitting in key O'Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

Only those who upload their O'Level results on or before September 12 will be considered for admission. Moreover, applicants must be at least 16 years old by September 30 to qualify. Candidates who fail to participate in the Post-UTME online aptitude test will not be considered.

UNILAG strongly advises all candidates to use personal and active email addresses during registration, as the university will use that channel for all official communication.

The university also opened opportunities for former students whose admission was previously withdrawn due to poor performance or absentee status to reapply, provided they choose a different course or programme. However, expelled students are not eligible for re-admission under any circumstance.

The university reiterated its strict stance against drug abuse, warning that any student who tests positive during pre- or post-registration drug screening will have their admission revoked.

The mock examination for the Post-UTME test is scheduled to hold from Monday, August 25, to Wednesday, August 27, ahead of the actual Post-UTME exams scheduled between September 1 and September 5.
