Former U.S. President Donald Trump has unveiled a new immigration initiative dubbed the “Trump Card,” a $5 million visa program aimed at wealthy foreign investors who want to obtain U.S. residency and eventual citizenship.

Announced Wednesday night via Trump’s Truth Social platform, the Gold Card program is now accepting expressions of interest through a dedicated website: TrumpCard.gov.
According to the former president, the visa would offer a fast-tracked path to American residency, targeting affluent individuals and business owners from around the world.
“Thousands have been calling and asking how they can sign up to ride a beautiful road in gaining access to the Greatest Country and Market anywhere in the World,” Trump wrote. “The waiting list is now open.”
Applicants are prompted to submit their name, location, and contact information to stay updated on when official applications will be accepted. They must also specify whether they are applying individually or on behalf of a business.

The website displays an image of the “Trump Card” itself—a gold-colored identification card bearing Trump’s photo and signature. This card was first previewed to reporters back in April aboard Air Force One.
Trump first floated the idea in February 2025, promising a streamlined path to residency for foreign investors who meet a $5 million threshold. The program is seen as a potential replacement for the existing EB-5 visa, which currently grants permanent residency to immigrants who invest at least $1.05 million in the U.S. or $800,000 in economically distressed areas.
“They’ll be wealthy, and they’ll be successful,” Trump said earlier this year. “They’ll spend a lot of money, pay a lot of taxes, and employ a lot of people.”
