According to reports, Kulsuma was stabbed to death on Wigan Street in Bradford in April 2024 while pushing a pram carrying their baby. The baby was unharmed, but the mother later died in hospital due to multiple stab wounds.

We talked every day via video calls. The only day I didn’t hear from her was the day she was attacked,” she said.

Masum was arrested 170 miles away from the crime scene in Aylesbury shortly after the killing. Investigations reveal that he had a history of controlling behavior and had previously issued death threats during prior assaults.
