Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has settled N1.4 billion WAEC and NECO debts owed by past administrations, leading to the release of five years of withheld results for students.
According to a statement by Sulaiman Bala Idris, the governor’s spokesman, NECO debts (2014-2018) and WAEC fees (2018-2022) have been fully paid. This follows Lawal’s state of emergency on education declared in November 2023.
