A coalition of Northern advocacy groups has dismissed calls to suspend SGF George Akume over alleged obstruction of an N80bn fraud probe involving his aide.
Prince Miaphen, coordinator of the pro-Tinubu coalition, labeled the allegations as "politically motivated sabotage" against the administration. The group passed a vote of confidence in Akume, praising his integrity.
The defense comes after Arewa United Patriots demanded Akume's suspension. Neither EFCC nor ICPC has commented on the allegations involving aide Torhile Uchi.
"These are false narratives to undermine the Renewed Hope Agenda," Miaphen stated.
