Anambra State Police have dismantled a dangerous criminal network in a dramatic late-night operation, arresting four suspects including a 19-year-old female member. The May 9, 2025 raid in Uke followed weeks of surveillance on the gang linked to multiple kidnappings, armed robberies, and car thefts.
The arrested suspects include:
Chinaza Udemezue (only female member, 19)
Chigozie "T. Dollars" Udolisa
Anaolu "Blue" Joseph
Chukwuka "Udokamiri" Udolisa
Police recovered substantial evidence including:
✓ 3 stolen luxury vehicles (Lexus, Toyota Camry, Corolla)
✓ HP laptop with suspected ransom data
✓ Car theft tools and spraying equipment
✓ Methamphetamine (Mkpurummiri) stash
During interrogation, Chinaza revealed her armed boyfriend escaped with their weapons cache during the raid. The gang specialized in:
High-profile kidnappings
Luxury car thefts
Interstate criminal operations
SP Tochukwu Ikenga confirmed the suspects are cooperating with investigations while manhunts continue for escaped members. "This breakthrough demonstrates our commitment to rooting out criminal elements," Ikenga stated, urging residents to report suspicious activities.
The operation marks a significant victory in Anambra's anti-crime campaign, coming weeks after similar busts across the state. Police have intensified patrols and intelligence operations targeting known criminal hideouts.
