Putin Expresses Readiness for Peace Talks With Ukraine Amid Ongoing Conflict

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed willingness to engage in peace talks with Ukraine, based on a deal negotiated between the two nations in Istanbul in 2022. 

Speaking at a forum in Vladivostok, Putin reaffirmed Russia's readiness to negotiate, but only under the terms previously agreed upon.

"Are we ready to negotiate with them? We have never refused to do so, but not on the basis of some ephemeral demands," Putin stated, referencing the Istanbul talks.

Tensions between Ukraine and Russia remain high, with ongoing conflict and frequent cross-border incidents. 

Despite international sanctions, Putin continues to pursue military objectives in Ukraine.
