Ronaldo is one of the best in world, Simeone says after 3-0 loss to Juventus
Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone has said that it is only normal to see Christiano Ronaldo perform the way he did because is one of the best in world.
The Atletico boss said after Juventus star, Cristiano Ronaldo netted a hat-trick in their Champions League round of 16 second leg in Turin on Tuesday to send Simeone men packing.
Talking about Ronaldo’s match-winning performance, he added, “Cristiano is one of the best in the world, it is normal that he can play how he has done tonight.”
On why they were defeated 3-0 by Juve, he said, “They were better than us and we have to compliment them.
“We tried to play our game. ‘In the first half we played well, but in the second we didn’t manage to make anything to get us through.
“Honestly, I’m calm and the players did well this week.
“In the first leg we played well and hurt them. Tonight, things went wayward. We didn’t manage to counter their performance.”
