Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has expressed absolute confidence that a joint global tour alongside fellow music titan Wizkid would easily sell out arenas worldwide, asserting that he would charge at least $500,000 per performance.
Speaking during an appearance on the IONWANNATALK podcast, the 30BG leader weighed in on long-standing fan demands for a joint tour and collaborative recording project.
While confident about the massive commercial success of a joint live tour, Davido admitted uncertainty over whether a new single between them would automatically become a smash hit, drawing parallels to past high-profile collaborations like D'banj and 2Baba.
The singer disclosed that he and Wizkid have not recorded new music together in nearly ten years, attributing the gap to being in different artistic spaces rather than personal hostility.
Reflecting on their decade-long rivalry, Davido emphasized that maturity allowed him to move past past friction, acknowledging that personal growth is essential for navigating industry competition.
"If Wizkid and I do a song together, I don’t know if it will pop because when D’banj and 2Baba did a record together, it didn’t really pop. But if we tour together, I’ll ask for $500,000 per show because I know every venue will sell out." — Davido
