Portuguese football icon Cristiano Ronaldo is dominating global sports news after scoring an extraordinary 15-minute hat-trick for Al-Nassr in a thrilling 5-3 victory over Al-Kholood in the Saudi Pro League.
The performance pushes the 41-year-old superstar within touching distance of a legendary career milestone:
- The 67th Career Hat-Trick: Striking in the 66th, 72nd, and 81st minutes, Ronaldo logged the 67th official hat-trick of his senior professional career. His performance was set up by team-mate João Félix, who recorded four assists in the match.
- Closing in on 1,000 Official Goals: The three-goal display brought Ronaldo's official career tally to 985 senior goals for club and country. He now requires just 15 more goals to become the first footballer in history to reach 1,000 officially recognized senior career goals.
- Extending the All-Time Goal Margin: Ronaldo’s latest treble extends his lead over longtime rival Lionel Messi (who sits at 936 career goals) by 49 goals, reaffirming his goalscoring longevity as Al-Nassr defends its Saudi Pro League title.
