A deep and highly alarming rift has expanded across the Nigerian entertainment and skit-making ecosystem as popular comedic content creators, Broda Mike and Mario Wazobia, have formally called upon law enforcement agencies to arrest an online personality known as Veryblackman.
The uproar ignited after Veryblackman—a close associate of controversial social critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) and a prominent member of the "Ratel" movement—published a graphic, high-intensity video across his digital channels openly threatening to violently end the life of veteran stand-up comedian and media critic, DeeOne.
In the now-deleted footage, which has been widely archived by concerned digital observers, the suspect explicitly announced his willingness to face life imprisonment or a death sentence as long as he successfully executes a physical assault on DeeOne the next time their paths cross.
The explicit nature of the recording sent shockwaves through the online community, prompting immediate alarms over the physical safety of public figures within the entertainment industry.
"Any day I see DeeOne, I’m not caping, I’m not joking. I don already carry am for my mind say that day na for police station I go sleep," Veryblackman stated in the deleted video.
"Either I kpai am enter prison or I beat and punch him and sleep for police station. If I pkai am, I don know say that one na prison. But I know say inside the two, one must happen."
Reacting swiftly in separate public video broadcasts, both Mario Wazobia and Broda Mike urged DeeOne not to treat the threat as standard social media clout or theatrical comedy banter.
Wazobia emphasized that Veryblackman's rhetoric reflects a dangerous, unhinged psychological state, while Broda Mike raised deeper security concerns regarding the operational background of the Ratel movement itself.
Broda Mike pointed out that since DeeOne is an active public figure who frequently travels for comedy concerts and airport transits, he remains highly vulnerable to real-world ambush.
He openly questioned if the Ratel group operates with the traits of an organized cult fraternity, asserting that no individual should feel empowered to declare a public execution on camera without facing immediate judicial prosecution.
