A-list Nollywood actress and producer Toyin Abraham has called for peace after fans and critics began comparing her YouTube performance to that of colleague Uche Montana.
The controversy erupted after Montana’s latest film, Monica 2, garnered a staggering 5 million views within just 24 hours of its release on May 2, 2026.
Critics online questioned the authenticity of the numbers, noting that even Abraham’s latest project, Alakade GenZ, took a week to reach 3 million views despite her massive "Toyin Titans" fanbase.
One user specifically tagged Abraham, suggesting that Montana’s views might not be organic.
Abraham, however, was quick to shut down the comparison, urging the public to let Montana celebrate her success without negativity. “Pls, leave me out of this and let her enjoy her moment and time,” she wrote in a viral response.
According to Qubes Magazine, Uche Montana has rapidly become a powerhouse in the digital distribution space, with her Monica franchise breaking multiple streaming records in 2026.
