In a major political shakeup ahead of the 2027 elections, Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso are set to exit the ADC to join a newly floated platform, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
NNPP BoT Secretary Buba Galadima hinted on Saturday that the official announcement will be made on Monday, May 4, 2026.
Sources suggest the move was triggered by fears that the ADC had been compromised by loyalists of Atiku Abubakar.
Galadima warned supporters to brace for "coordinated attacks" from social media influencers once the defection is official.
Activist Aisha Yesufu and Isaac Fayose have already signaled support for the "O-K" (Obi-Kwankwaso) alliance, describing it as the only viable alternative to the current administration.
