The executive organizers of Africa’s biggest reality television franchise, Big Brother Naija, have issued a critical, high-alert public disclaimer warning young Nigerians to watch out for sophisticated digital fraudsters demanding registration fees for the ongoing Season 11 casting calls.
In an official public service announcement shared via their verified X (formerly Twitter) platform, the show's producers made it abundantly clear that the entry process has never required financial payment.
The urgent warning comes as eager applicants across the country race against time to submit their digital portfolios before the official online portal reaches its total internal server capacity.
The production team emphasized that authentic updates regarding entry requirements, shortlists, and progression can only be accessed through the verified commercial media spaces of Africa Magic and Big Brother Naija.
Fraudulent websites, cloned social media pages, and WhatsApp syndicates offering guaranteed entry slots in exchange for cash are to be completely ignored.
Reaffirming the transparency of the television show's selection process, the organizers stated:
“False Claim of Payment for Big Brother Naija Auditions. Any communication requesting payment related to Big Brother Naija auditions is false and should be disregarded.
Big Brother Naija auditions require no payment, and remain free, fair, and accessible to all eligible Nigerians.
Rely only on the official Africa Magic and Big Brother platforms for accurate information about Big Brother Naija.
We appreciate your continued support and enthusiasm, and urge everyone to remain vigilant against misinformation.”
The high-stakes audition phase is already heavily underway. The online portal officially went live on May 16 and is rigidly scheduled to shut down today, May 20, 2026.
Because of the sheer volume of global traffic, producers clarified that the digital registration pipeline will close immediately once maximum capacity is hit.
For candidates who successfully scale the initial online filtering phases, highly anticipated physical auditions have been locked in to run from May 22 to May 24, 2026, simultaneously across major hubs in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu.
