Actor Yul Edochie Blasts Critics for Selective Attacks on Igbos Supporting President Tinubu
Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has sparked a heated debate on social media after criticizing what he terms the "selective bullying" of Igbo individuals who support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a passionate post on X (formerly Twitter), Edochie questioned why critics often direct their vitriol toward fellow Igbos while ignoring supporters of the President from Northern or Western regions.
He described those who "drag" their kinsmen for their political choices as "cowards" and "monkeys," arguing that such behavior is divisive.
“Show me a video of you dragging Yorubas who are supporting TINUBU. Show me a video of you dragging Northerners... You don’t have the liver to do it. But when it’s your Igbo brother, you’ll rush and set the ring light to drag him,” Edochie wrote.
Edochie's comments come as political alignments begin to solidify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He called for a broader perspective in national discourse, insisting that political differences should not lead to the internal destruction of an ethnic group.
