KieKie Defends Decision to Cohabit Before Wedding, Cites Financial Practicality
Popular actress and content creator Oluwabukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, better known as KieKie, has revealed that she lived with her husband for four months before their white wedding to save money on rent.
In a candid interview with Toke Makinwa, KieKie explained that the decision was purely practical and based on her lease expiration.
With her traditional rites already completed and a white wedding scheduled for January, KieKie decided against renewing her house rent for a full year.
She noted that while she was still a regular singer in her church at the time, she kept the arrangement private to avoid unnecessary judgment.
"People might judge it, but I wasn’t going to waste money. My rent had expired and we were getting married in January, so I said to myself, ‘Why pay another rent?’"
