Music producer Don Jazzy has warned a social media user who opened an account on X (formerly Twitter) using his name and photo to promote a fake giveaway. The user had posted a message claiming to be Don Jazzy and inviting people to join the supposed online giveaway.
According to a report by The Nation on Sunday 7 December, 2025, the impersonator’s post misled several followers who believed it was from the real Don Jazzy. Many users had already begun engaging with the account before the musician noticed the activity.
Don Jazzy reacted through his verified X account, telling the impersonator to stop immediately. He said the act was suspicious and could get the person into trouble with the law. He added that if the user truly wanted to help people, they should carry out any giveaway using their own real name and picture.
He also advised the impersonator not to accuse anyone of bullying if they eventually face arrest for using his identity without permission. Don Jazzy ended his message by saying he came in peace but wanted the matter corrected quickly.
He encouraged fans to be careful online and avoid falling for accounts pretending to be popular celebrities.
