A female officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kate Akpabio, has been kidnapped by armed men in Rantya community, Jos South LGA, Plateau State.
According to security expert Zagazola Makama, the abduction occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday when gunmen stormed her residence and took her to an undisclosed location.
Makama revealed that security forces were mobilized but arrived after the assailants had fled.
"On May 26 at about 5:30 a.m., armed hoodlums invaded the residence in Rantya and abducted Kate Jonathan Akpabio, an FRSC staff member in Jos.

Troops and other security agencies rushed to the scene, but preliminary findings confirmed the kidnappers escaped before their arrival," Makama stated on X.com.
The FRSC spokesperson, Olusegun Ogungbemide, confirmed that the sector commander had not yet provided official details. "I have not received any updates from the sector commander. Once I do, I will share further information," he said.
The incident has raised concerns over rising insecurity in Plateau State, with residents calling for improved security measures.
