According to the CP, one of the suspects, Clever Ovo, confessed to being a member of a gang led by the notorious Endurance Amagbein—already wanted by the Nigerian Army for the killing of 16 soldiers in Okuama, Delta State.

Further investigations revealed that another suspect, Atama, was arrested wearing army camouflage and in possession of a mobile phone containing images of rifles and voice recordings of the gang’s past operations.

Police say the suspects also disclosed names of sponsors involved in vandalism and attacks on facilities across the region. Another suspect, Perekebi Nwanlia, was confirmed dead.
