Global air cargo demand surged by 13.6% year-on-year, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

African airlines experienced a 6.2% growth in July, the lowest among all regions.
Despite this, global air cargo demand has seen eight consecutive months of double-digit growth, with capacity increasing by 8.3% compared to the same period in 2023.
This growth was driven by a 12.8% rise in international belly capacity, supported by robust passenger markets.
IATA Director-General Willie Walsh highlighted the strong performance of the air cargo industry, citing growth in global trade, e-commerce, and capacity challenges in maritime shipping.
