Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has declared that the club will not entertain any offers for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen during the summer transfer window.
The talismanic forward has been heavily linked with Premier League side Arsenal, who were reportedly prepared to include Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri as part of a deal, alongside interest from Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal.
Addressing the rumors, Özbek firmly stated that no financial package would persuade the Turkish Super Lig champions to part ways with the forward.
“What I said for Barış Alper Yılmaz, I am now saying more strongly for Osimhen. No matter how much money it is, I am not selling Osimhen,” Özbek told 343 Digital as quoted by Habersarikirmizi.
Osimhen reaffirmed his importance to Okan Buruk's squad by scoring a brace in Galatasaray's 2-2 draw against Arca Çorum FK to open the new Turkish Super Lig campaign.
