Fuji Maestro Remi Aluko Details Devastating Glaucoma Battle

In a profoundly emotional and courageous disclosure that has sent shockwaves through the indigenous Nigerian music industry, iconic Fuji musician Remi Aluko has revealed that he has completely lost his sight.

The legendary singer, affectionately revered by millions of fans worldwide for his high-energy contemporary Fuji sound, made the heartbreaking announcement during a candid, exclusive interview on Oyinmomo TV, opening up about his quiet, agonizing multi-year battle with glaucoma.

Despite having undergone various specialized ophthalmic surgeries in the past to rescue his vision, the maestro admitted that the optic nerve damage had advanced to a point of total blindness.

"I'm a glaucoma patient. I'm managing myself; I'm currently not seeing," Aluko stated bravely.

He noted that because he maintains an impeccably sharp personal appearance and navigates his daily environment with immense dignity and independence, many in the public space remain entirely unaware of his visual impairment.

The star emphasized that he deliberately made a psychological resolve not to dwell on the physical limitations or succumb to severe depression, choosing instead to focus on his musical craft, celebrate life, and inspire other individuals living with chronic health disabilities.
