The Super Eagles of Nigeria have discovered their qualification pathway for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) following the official group stage draws conducted at the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) in Cairo on Tuesday.
Nigeria has been placed in a highly favorable group alongside Madagascar, Tanzania, and Guinea-Bissau.
According to an official review by Daily Post, the three-time African champions entered the draw ceremony as one of the top-seeded nations, ensuring they avoided several of the continent's heavyweights in the early stages of the tournament cycle.
Given the pedigree of the squad, the Super Eagles will enter the qualification series as overwhelming favorites to secure the top spot in their group.

Under the competition guidelines established by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the top two finishing teams from the group will earn automatic tickets to the AFCON 2027 finals.
The qualification matches will be played across three distinct FIFA international windows, stretching between September 2026 and March 2027.
Fans can look forward to an intense football calendar, as match days one and two are officially scheduled to take place between September 21 and October 6, 2026.
The battle for points will intensify when the third and fourth rounds of fixtures kick off from November 9 to November 17, 2026. The Super Eagles will look to seal their qualification completely when the final rounds of matches are played between March 22 and March 30, 2027.
