Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus is ready to swap the movie set for the boxing ring.
Inspired by the recent celebrity boxing match where Carter Efe defeated singer Portable, Badmus has officially challenged her colleague and industry giant, Funke Akindele, to a televised fight.
The trend of celebrity boxing has gained massive traction in Nigeria, especially after Carter Efe walked away with a ₦50 million prize and additional cash gifts from socialites like E-Money and Soso Soberekon.
Seeing the financial potential in the sport, Eniola Badmus took to her Instagram page to call out the "Battle on Buka Street" producer.
In a post that has since gone viral, Badmus reached out to prominent sponsors to make the dream a reality.
“Funke Akindele, let’s get on the boxing ring. It’s about time. Soso, E-Money, let’s get to it. No time. Money has to be made,” she wrote.
While Funke Akindele is yet to officially respond to the challenge, fans are already buzzing at the prospect of seeing two of Nollywood's biggest stars face off.
According to Qubes Magazine, these celebrity bouts are becoming a popular way for entertainers to settle "beef" or simply generate massive engagement and revenue.
