Delta Bishop Murder: Personal Driver Arrested in Anambra While Attempting to Sell Stolen SUV

Anambra Police CP parading suspects and the recovered Toyota Prado Jeep belonging to a murdered Delta Bishop



The Anambra State Police Command has arrested the personal driver of a Pentecostal Bishop from Delta State in connection with the brutal murder of his employer. 

The suspect was apprehended in Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area, while allegedly attempting to sell the victim’s Toyota Prado Jeep.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, revealed that the driver, who also served as domestic staff for the Bishop of End-Reconciliation Ministry in Asaba, conspired with other criminal elements to kill the cleric.

Following the murder, the suspect fled across state lines to Anambra to dispose of the vehicle. 

Operatives from the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) tracked the suspect and a potential buyer using intelligence-led strategies.

According to Qubes Magazine, the police recovered the stolen SUV and are currently interrogating the suspects to locate other gang members involved in the conspiracy. 

CP Orutugu urged the public to be extremely vigilant when hiring domestic staff, advising thorough profiling and identity verification to prevent such tragic occurrences.
