BENIN CITY – The Edo State Youth Movement for Political Orientation and Revolution has formally commended the Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, for the rapid execution of multiple developmental projects across the state.
In a statement made available to journalists on Thursday, the group lauded the Governor’s commitment to infrastructural transformation and governance, describing him as a “man of the people” and a “no-nonsense leader” dedicated to the state’s progress.
However, the movement issued a stern warning to the Governor, advising him to remain focused and distance himself from “tyrants, cankerworms, and APC elements” who may act as distractions.

The group emphasized that the Governor must surround himself with individuals genuinely committed to the welfare of the masses to ensure the administration’s goals are not undermined.
Addressing the state's security challenges, the organization called on Governor Okpebholo to treat the growing insecurity in various regions as a matter of urgent priority.
They urged a strengthened partnership between the state government and security agencies to tackle criminal activities and guarantee the safety of residents.
The group concluded by reaffirming its support for policies aimed at unity and improved living conditions for all Edo State citizens.
