Nollywood powerhouse Funke Akindele has moved quickly to debunk a viral narrative suggesting she disrespected Fuji icon Wasiu Pasuma at a recent event.
The controversy was sparked by an edited video from actress Fathia Balogun’s birthday celebration, which appeared to show Akindele ignoring Pasuma while greeting others.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, Akindele labeled the video "misleading" and urged fans to stop the negativity.
She clarified that she not only greeted the singer but also danced with him, referring to him as her "egbon" (elder brother).
Unedited footage from the event has since emerged, showing the two stars engaging in a friendly conversation, vindicating the filmmaker.
