Hon. Simon Gabo, representing the Ushongo State Constituency, confirmed the incident, stating that his community has become a "battlefield" for militias crossing the river from neighboring areas.

While the Divisional Police Officer has deployed personnel to the mountainous forest area, the State Police Command is yet to issue a formal statement.

The attack has heightened fears among residents as insecurity continues to plague the region.
