Zaragoza Keeper Esteban Andrada Faces Long Suspension Following Violent Pitch Outburst
Argentine goalkeeper Esteban Andrada is facing a potentially season-ending suspension after a violent incident during Real Zaragoza’s derby clash against Huesca on Sunday.
The 35-year-old, currently on loan from Monterrey, was initially sent off for pushing Jorge Pulido but escalated the situation by punching the Huesca player in the face, triggering a massive brawl.
The match ended with three red cards as both teams fight to avoid relegation to Spain’s third tier. Real Zaragoza issued a statement "strongly condemning" the unbecoming scenes and confirmed they would take internal disciplinary action against Andrada.
The goalkeeper could now face a 12-match ban from the Spanish football authorities for the assault.
