Atiku expressed a willingness to step aside if a consensus candidate emerges from the coalition, specifically naming Peter Obi as a contender he would be willing to support.

He described President Bola Tinubu’s governance as a "disappointment," criticizing both economic policies and the perceived concentration of power within the presidency.

“I will step aside for any winner... I represent both the past and the future,” Atiku stated, emphasizing that his experience is vital for mentoring the next generation of leaders.
