Trump Warns of 'Massive' Retaliation as Iran-Israel Conflict Hits Qatar’s Energy Infrastructure
Tensions in the Middle East have reached a boiling point following a direct warning from United States President Donald Trump to the Iranian government.
The escalation follows an Israeli strike on Iran’s South Pars gas field, which triggered a retaliatory missile barrage from Tehran targeting the Ras Laffan industrial facility in Qatar.
According to a statement posted on his Truth Social platform, President Trump distanced the U.S. from Israel's initial strike but made it clear that any further aggression against Qatar would face unprecedented American military force.
He emphasized that the U.S. is prepared to act with or without international consent to protect global energy stability.
"NO MORE ATTACKS WILL BE MADE BY ISRAEL... unless Iran unwisely decides to attack a very innocent, in this case, Qatar – In which instance the United States of America... will massively blow up the entirety of the South Pars Gas Field at an amount of strength and power that Iran has never seen or witnessed before," Trump wrote.
The conflict has sparked global economic concerns, as analysts warn that prolonged strikes on the Gulf's energy infrastructure could lead to a massive spike in global oil and gas prices.
While Qatar has officially condemned the strikes, the involvement of global powers has turned a regional spat into a significant worldwide security risk.
