The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, just six days after Ruth graduated from Auchi Polytechnic. Eyewitnesses said the heavy-duty truck crushed her leg before a bystander chased it down and forced it to stop. Ruth later underwent an emergency amputation at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital.
Phyna, who rose to fame in 2022 after winning the BBNaija “Level Up” edition and bagging a ₦100 million prize, has accused the company of negligence and vowed to ensure the case is not swept under the carpet.
