Nigeria’s star striker, Victor Osimhen, is on the brink of completing a blockbuster €75 million transfer to Galatasaray, with the deal set to be officially announced within days. The move marks one of the biggest transfers in Turkish football history.
According to Turkish journalist Haluk Yürekli, who spoke via Habersarikirmizi, both Galatasaray and Osimhen’s current club Napoli have reached a full agreement on the terms of the transfer. The Turkish champions are set to pay €40 million upfront, with the remaining €35 million to be disbursed in two installments under a bank guarantee.
“Galatasaray and Napoli have reached an agreement regarding Osimhen. Galatasaray will pay €75 million. €40 million will be paid upfront, and the remaining €35 million will be paid in two installments with a bank guarantee,” Yürekli reported.
The official confirmation is expected within two to three days, marking a major coup for Galatasaray as they gear up for the new season after winning the Turkish Super Lig title last term.
Following Osimhen’s arrival, Galatasaray is also preparing a move for Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson, whose agents have reportedly met with key Galatasaray executives in Istanbul. Negotiations are said to be finalized, with Ederson next in line once the Nigerian striker is unveiled.
The back-to-back transfer plans underscore Galatasaray’s ambition to strengthen their squad ahead of European competitions and domestic title defenses. For Osimhen, this transfer could offer a fresh challenge and a leadership role in Turkey after a stellar run in Serie A.
